Dmitry Filimonov

Dmitry Filimonov started dancing career in 1993 as a dancesport dancer and came to early dances in 2002.

He participated in dance workshops of such famous dance teachers as Lieven Baert, Barbara Segal, Susan de Guardiola, Klaus Abromeit, Beatrice Massin, Barbara Sparti, Gloria Giordano, Karin Modigh, Philippa Waite, Diana Scrivener, Katerina Dolezalova, Bruna Gondoni, Fabio Mollica, Ana Yepes, Hannelore Unfried, Richard Powers, Yvonne Vart, Hubert Hazebroucq, Ken Pierce, Mike Gilavert, Gaëlle Lafage, Guillaume Jablonka, Anne Daye.

Now Dmitry has 4th (the highest) level of certification in XIX century dances, 3rd level in Baroque dances (according to HDA), 3rd level in Renaissance dance. In 2010 he completed the course for XIX century social dance teachers within Società di Danza system. He teaches early dance since 2007. Dmitry also taught early dances in Riverside (USA), Rothenfels (Germany), Yaroslavl, Novosibirsk, Ufa, Kirov, Kiev (Ukraine), Alexin, Minsk (Belarus), Samara, Saratov, Saint-Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Khabarovsk, Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, Tomsk, Bryansk, Sevastopol and Yalta.

Dmitry regularily participates in international conferences and has 7 published articles on early dance topic.

Currently Dmitry works as an associate professor of mathematics in Higher School of Economics and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and has 15 years of teaching experience. He holds a PhD in mathematics.
