Maria Derkach

Maria Derkach has many years of dance experience both as a teacher and as a dancer. In 1998 she graduated from Kaluga Dance College. Since that time she danced in different dance groups, specializing both in classical and folk dances.

In 2005 Maria began to dance early dances. She participated in dance workshops of such famous dance teachers as Lieven Baert, Barbara Segal, Susan de Guardiola, Klaus Abromeit, Béatrice Massin, Barbara Sparti, Gloria Giordano, Karin Modigh, Philippa Waite, Diana Scrivener, Katerina Dolezalova, Bruna Gondoni, Ana Yepes, Richard Powers, Hannelore Unfried.

Now Maria has 4th (the highest) level of certification in XIX century dances, 4th (the highest) level of certification in Baroque and 1st level in Renaissance dance (according to HDA). In 2010 she completed a course for XIX century social dance teachers within Società di Danza system. She teachers early dance since 2007.

Maria works as an associate professor of mathematics in Moscow State University of Railway Communications and has 17 years of teaching experience. She holds a Ph.D. in mathematics.
